Baumzipfelweg Saalbach & Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps
High above the Talschluss
Guests with no head for heights better click away right now. The Baumzipfelweg Saalbach in the Talschluss (valley head) of Hinterglemm is Europe's highest tree-top trail. Hike up to 30 m above the valley plain and walk amidst the fascinating vegetation of the region. The low rope course for first balancing attempts and the high rope course make the Baumzipfelweg the perfect destination for family holidays in Saalbach!
Spectacular path with grand view
Hike the 2 km to the Baumzipfelweg on Lindlingalm from the Talschluss parking ground or take the Talschluss train. Among the most beautiful parts of the one km long path far up high is the Golden Gate Bridge of the Alps. It is 200 m long, up to 42 m high and was modelled after the legendary suspension bridge in the bay of San Francisco. The tree-top trail gives you access to grand views far beyond the Talschluss with its platforms, towers, bridges and stairs.
Low and high rope course Saalbach
The site is also home of the low rope course with various stages for daring young climbers and balancing stations across ropes and bridges. Climb above challenging structures in the high rope course and glide through the forest on zip lines. A certain basic level of fitness and brief instructions are mandatory.
Climbers of all ages love the Baumzipfelweg Saalbach with its rope courses. The perfect starting point for this excursion: the 4-star Eggerhof in Saalbach Hinterglemm. When can we welcome you to your hiking holidays in Saalbach?
